Morrison, 52, of Mechanicville, pleaded on Oct. 18 to grand larceny in the fourth degree. Sentencing is scheduled to take place on Jan. 3, 2017. Bjorn O. Burke, 30, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded on Oct. 17 to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree. No sentencing schedule was available. Gregory D. Moore, 21, of Schenectady, pleaded on Oct. 17 to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. No sentencing schedule was available. Adam C. Dottino, 20, of New Scotland, pleaded on Oct. 14 to third-degree rape. Sentencing is scheduled to take place on Dec. 9. Michael J. Cole, 31, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced on Oct. 19 to 1.5 to 3 years in prison, after pleading to grand larceny in the fourth degree. William R. Loya, 34, of Mechanicville, was sentenced on Oct. 19 to 5 years of probation, after pleading to third-degree welfare fraud. Miguel W. John, 21, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced on Oct. 18 to 5 years in state prison and 5 years of post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted burglary in the second degree. Dustin R. Baylis, 29, of Ballston Spa, was sentenced on Oct. 18 to 6 months in jail and 5 years of probation after pleading to knowingly making or possessing prison contraband in the first degree. Marc A. Abendschein, 53, of Halfmoon, was sentenced on Oct. 18 to 5 years in state prison and 5 years of post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted burglary in the second degree. POLICE William S. Cason, 33, of Hadley, was charged on Oct. 19 with two counts of assault, after allegedly being involved in a fight while incarcerated on a different charge at Saratoga County Jail, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. A second inmate, and a corrections officer were both injured during the incident. Brandon S. Labelle, 30, of Moreau, was charged with falsifying business records, a felony, and petit larceny, a misdemeanor, after allegedly falsifying a DMV document regarding the ownership of a vehicle he is suspected of stealing from the owner, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. Jennica S. Nash, 19, of Ballston Spa, was charged on Oct. 16 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, unlawful possession of marijuana, and a vehicle equipment violation, following a traffic stop on Union Avenue. Michael L. Gilliard, 48, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 16 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and a vehicle equipment violation. Michael V. Dunn, 36, of Amsterdam, was charged on Oct. 15 with misdemeanor DWI and driving the wrong way on a one-way street. Sean P. Bass, 27, of Wilton, was charged on Oct. 15 with misdemeanor DWI and failing to signal a turn. James F. Cochran, 35, of Ballston Spa, was charged on Oct. 15 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and speeding. Martin T. Goggin, 48, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 15 with resisting arrest, a misdemeanor, and disorderly conduct. Anthony E. Sarro, 26, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 15 with misdemeanor DWI, and unlawful possession of marijuana. Joseph J. Casertino, 49, of Corinth, was charged on Oct. 14 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and using a vehicle without an interlock device - both misdemeanors, and a vehicle equipment violation. Jeremy L. Zepf, 37, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 13 with petit larceny, a misdemeanor. Kevin R. Bailey, 46, of Ballston Spa, was charged on Oct. 10 with criminal possession of marijuana in the fifth degree, a misdemeanor. Bruce J. McDonald, 53, of Ballston Spa, was charged on Oct. 10 with felony DWI – there were two previous DWI felonies - aggravated felony DWI, refusing a pre-screen test, consumption of alcoholic beverages, and a parking violation.

Dennis, 41, of Ballston Spa, was charged on Oct. 26 with two felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, and two misdemeanor counts and two felony counts each of criminal possession of a controlled substance, following a joint investigation of the Saratoga Springs Police Department, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, and the state Police CNET Capital. Dennis is suspected of selling crack cocaine. Randy Meyer, Jr., 24, of Mechanicville, was charged with three felony counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, and three misdemeanor counts and three felony counts each of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Meyer is suspected of selling cocaine. Robert J. Burtt, 27, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 24 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and a failing to stop at a stop sign. Raphael L. Riach, 45, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 24 with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, related to an alleged incident that occurred on Zephyr Lane. Shannon M. Bennett, 25, of Mechanicville, was charged on Oct. 23 with misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor aggravated DWI, and a traffic violation, after being involved in a property accident on Pavillion Row. Police: Two Deaths in Two Separate Vehicle Incidents Sunday MILTON - A 32-year-old Ballston Spa man was killed early Sunday after he was struck by a vehicle on Saratoga Avenue in the town of Milton, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. The crash occurred at about 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 30. The pedestrian was identified as Jacob C. Perring, of Saratoga Avenue. The driver of the vehicle fled the scene, and the vehicle involved in the incident was located, according to authorities, who continue to investigate the matter. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted at the scene by the Ballston Spa Police Department, Community Corps EMS and the Ballston Spa Fire Department. MOREAU – State Police continue to investigate a fatal accident that occurred on the Northway Sunday morning in the town of Moreau. Authorities said the investigation revealed that a Toyota Highlander was traveling northbound around 9 a.m. when the operator fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and then back onto the road and overturned several times. One person was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene. The driver and other passengers were treated at the scene by Moreau EMS and South Glens Falls Fire, Wilton Fire and Wilton EMS. Four people were transported to Saratoga Hospital with minor injuries, and one was airlifted to Albany Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

COURTS Jaclyn E. Moran, 26, of Malta, was sentenced on Nov. 3 to 1.5 - 3 years in state prison, after pleading to fourth-degree grand larceny. Michael W. Winchip, 39, of Schenectady, was sentenced on Nov. 3 to serve a total of 13 years in prison and five years post-release supervision after pleading to second-degree burglary, second-degree robbery, two counts of fourth-degree grand larceny, petit larceny, unlawful imprisonment, and harassment, related to a home invasion that occurred in Charlton last January and involved a 72-year-old victim, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office. Winchip was also ordered to pay restitution to return money, the amount of which was not specified, that was stolen from the victim’s home. Amy E. Cooper, 35, of Castleton, was charged on Oct. 28 as a fugitive from justice. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office, Cooper was in custody at Saratoga County Jail after being arrested by the Saratoga Springs Police Department on charges of issuing a bad check. Prior to her release on bail, she was found to have an outstanding arrest warrant out of the state of Massachusetts. The charge in Massachusetts was also for issuing bad checks. She was subsequently arraigned and sent to county jail, pending further court appearances. Joshua L. Hunt, 25, of Victory, pleaded on Oct. 28 to felony DWI, and circumvention of an interlock device. Sentencing is scheduled to take place Jan. 6. Timothy J. McDaniel, 32, of Schenectady, pleaded on Oct. 28 to grand larceny in the fourth degree. Sentencing is scheduled to take place Dec. 21. James M. Plante, 55, of Troy, pleaded on Oct. 28 to third-degree burglary. Sentencing is scheduled to take place Jan. 6. Darrell E. Coppage, 46, of Clifton Park, pleaded on Oct. 28 to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance. Sentencing is scheduled to take place Dec. 21. Angel A. Gopi, 29, of Schenectady, was sentenced on Oct. 28 to two years in state prison and one year post-release supervision, after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. POLICE Philip E. Parish, 28, of Queensbury, was charged on Oct. 27 with criminal sale and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 3rd degree – both felonies, and criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, a misdemeanor, following a joint investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit and the NYSP CNET Capital. Parish is suspected of selling heroin within Saratoga County. Raphael L. Riach, 45, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 24 with third-degree assault, a misdemeanor, related to an alleged incident that occurred on Zephyr Lane. Shannon M. Bennett, 25, of Mechanicville, was charged on Oct. 23 with misdemeanor DWI and misdemeanor aggravated DWI, and a traffic violation, after being involved in a property accident on Pavillion Row. Barcomb, 24, of Fort Edward, was charged on Oct. 29 with criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor. Anna M. Smith, 31, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 27 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, and following a motor vehicle too closely. Shannon L. Tracey, 32, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 27 with third-degree criminal trespass, a misdemeanor. Satin L. Dewitt, 29, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Oct. 26 with criminal contempt, a misdemeanor. Libby R. Moxley, 25, of Schuylerville, was charged on Oct. 25 with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor, after being involved in a property damage accident. COURTS Edward J. Wager, 35, of Caroga Lake NY was sentenced on Nov. 9 to serve up to 15 years in prison for an alcohol-related crash that occurred in the town of Providence in June 2015 and caused the death of his passenger, Roxanne Opalka, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office. “The maximum sentence imposed today by Judge Murphy reflects the consequences appropriate for someone found guilty after trial of operating an ATV with a BAC of .19 and causing the death of another person after having been previously convicted twice in the past 10 years of alcohol related offenses,” District Attorney Karen A. Heggen said in a statement. Wager was convicted in July by a Saratoga County Trial Jury of multiple felony counts of vehicular manslaughter and DWI charges. Robert L. Johnson, 30, of Hudson Falls, was sentenced on Nov. 2 to serve 1.5-3 years in state prison, after pleading to fourth-degree grand larceny. Joshua J. Smith, 35, of Schenectady, was sentenced on Nov. 2 to eight months in Saratoga County Jail, after pleading to criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fourth degree. Elliott Q. Rich, 36, of Saratoga Springs, was sentenced on Nov. 14 to 3.5 years in state prison with two years of post-release supervision, after pleading to attempted criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree. William E. Didylowski, 60, of Saugerties, was sentenced on Nov. 14 to five years of probation, after pleading to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fifth degree. Mark G. Giacomaro, 42, of Milton, pleaded on Nov. 14 to felony DWI. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 18. Russell Dawson, 44, of Waterford, was sentenced on Nov. 14 to six months in jail and 10 years of probation, after pleading to sexual abuse in the first degree. Kevin G. Taylor, 63, of Cohoes, was sentenced on Nov. 10 to five days in Saratoga County Jail and five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI. Shelly A. Jannicelli, 51, of Cohoes, was sentenced on Nov. 10 to time served and five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI. Kirieme M. Pitts, 24, of Cohoes, pleaded on Nov. 10 to attempted criminal sale of a controlled substance in the third degree. Sentencing is scheduled for Jan. 9. Brittni M. Weis, 30, pleaded on Nov. 10 to leaving the scene of an accident, a felony, related to the operation of a motor vehicle involving her vehicle and a 9-year-old who had been riding a bike, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s office. The incident occurred in June at the Pyramid Pine Estates in Wilton. Weis left the scene and did not report the incident until several days later. The victim was taken by helicopter to Albany Medical Center with serious injuries, including a fractured skull and jaw. The victim has since returned home, following a significant period of rehabilitation. Sentencing is scheduled to take place Jan. 12. Fardin M. Sharifipour, 45, of Niskayuna, was sentenced on Nov. 10 to 1.5 to 3 years in state prison, after pleading to attempted criminal possession of a forged instrument, a felony. Lindsay A. Caeden J. Gilhaeny, 18, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Dec. 17 with reckless endangerment in the first degree, a felony, in connection with an alleged incident that occurred last summer. Gilhaeny is suspected of driving off and dragging a 16-year-old partially in his passenger side window about 500 feet after an argument occurred during a drug transaction, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department.

POLICE Thomas Coons, 57, of Wilton, was charged on Jan. 6 with third-degree grand larceny. Coons, a Maple Avenue Middle School business teacher is suspected of stealing more than $3,000from the Maple Avenue Middle School Yearbook Club, where he was a co-advisor. Coons was arraigned in the Town of Wilton Court and released on his own recognizance to re-appear at a later date, according to State Police. Michael Sanders, 48, of Malta, was charged on Jan. 6 with petit larceny, in connection with an alleged incident that took place in Malta. Daniel Y. Iskhakov, 30, of Schenectady, was charged on Jan. 5 with two felony counts and two misdemeanor counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance, and four felony counts and four misdemeanor counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance on the suspicion of selling heroin in Saratoga County, following a joint investigation by the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Narcotics Unit, and the NYSP CNET Capital. Iskhakov sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $25,000 cash, or $50,000 bond. Michael A. Capone, 61, of Saratoga Springs, was charged on Dec. 29 with three felonies in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a child. Saratoga Springs Police say investigators determined that an 8-year-old girl was asleep on the couch of her Lincoln Avenue apartment when Capone is suspected to have entered the apartment and subjected the girl to inappropriate contact. The girl was awakened by the action and alerted family members once the man exited the apartment. The girl was not physically injured during the incident. She was transported to Saratoga Hospital as a precautioary measure. Police say the suspect was a regular guest of the apartment and was known to the victim and other family members. Capone was charged with sexual abuse in the first degree, criminal sexual act in the first degree, and predatory sexual assault of a child, and was sent to jail in lieu of $500,000 cash bail. According to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office, a subsequent investigation showed Dacus was wanted in connection with an alleged incident that occurred in the town of Greenfield in 2014. An arrest warrant was issued by the Greenfield Court in January 2015 and it had been determined that he fled New York and was living in Florida. Dacus was sent to Saratoga County jail in lieu of $20,000 cash or $40,000 bond. Garrett Weatherwax, 22, of Malta, was charged on Jan. 13 with promoting a sexual performance by a child, a felony. Weatherwax was charged after an investigation into the downloading and sharing of pictures and videos of underage children engaged in sexual performances, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office. Michael Mosher, 38, of Saratoga Springs, pleaded on Jan. 18 to two counts of predatory assault against a child in connection with incidents that occurred in the towns of Wilton and Hadley from 2009 to 2016. Sentencing is scheduled to take place March 15. Joshua R. Loukes, 26, of Charlton, was sentenced on Jan. 18 to time served and five years of probation, after pleading to felony DWI in connection with an incident that occurred in Ballston. Brandon H. Welfinger, 21, with no known address, pleaded on Jan. 18 to failure to report an address change within 10 days of relocating. Sentencing is scheduled to take place March 15. Harold L. Wolcott, 41, of Ballston Spa, pleaded on Jan. 17 to criminally negligent homicide, according to the Saratoga County District Attorney’s Office. In April 2016, Wolcott was charged with strangulation after an altercation with a 51-year-old man who was playing loud music at the Creek and Pines Mobile Home Park, where Wolcott worked as the mobile park’s manager. The man died from his injuries a few days later. Sentencing is scheduled to take place March 24. Riley P. Belkevich-Manupella, 21, of Clifton Park, pleaded on Jan. 13 to second-degree vehicular assault, Sentencing is scheduled to take place March 17. Lyle J. Kilburn, 28, of Ballston Spa, pleaded on Jan. 13 to felony DWI. Sentencing is scheduled to take place March 3. POLICE Donnell J. Bertrand, 27, of Schenectady, was charged on Jan. 20 with assault in the third degree, obstructing governmental administration in the second degree, two counts of harassment in the second degree, criminal mischief in the fourth degree, and two counts of assault in the second degree, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. Bertrand is accused of pushing his sister down an embankment, causing her to strike her back on a guide rail and damaging the center console of her vehicle. While being processed at Milton Station, Bertrand allegedly kicked and spit at deputies resulting in the two deputies sustaining physical injury. He was arraigned in the Malta Town Court and sent to Saratoga County Jail in lieu of $30,000 bail, or $60,000 bond. Brian M. Little, 29, of Schenectady, was charged on Jan. 18 with criminal mischief in the second degree, a felony, following an investigation of a complaint of criminal mischief in the town of Malta. Little is suspected of damaging the vehicle of a woman known to him causing damage exceeding $1,500. He was arraigned and released to county probation Pre-Trial Services, and will return at a later, unspecified date to answer the charge, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Department. Chad M.
